Drive Consistent Traffic to Your Website w/ Just One LinkedIn Newsletter a Week

I don't know about you, but lately LinkedIn feels like a full-time job.

I know, I know. Officially, content marketing on LinkedIn is my full-time job. Still, every time I see a post about someone being fully booked a year in advance or a post talking about the latest and greatest hack to get thousands of comments on a post. I can't help but feel like I'm falling behind.

And I'm not. I had two lead gen seasons last year (January to March and July to September) that kept me fully booked without feeling overwhelmed.

I spent four years building a system that helps me generate organic leads without feeling overwhelmed, and I'm able to use the same system to help clients identify leads too.

If it sounds like I'm bragging, I am, lol but only because these LinkedIn gurus have me trying to contend with horses when I really don't need to.

And I know if I'm feeling that way, there's a good chance you might just be experiencing a bit of "Must Do More" pressure too.

But here's the thing, you don't have to do more on LinkedIn. You just need to be consistent.

Over the last year, I've gotten to test out my system on other people's accounts. Let me tell you, it kinda opened my eyes to LinkedIn's secret weapon (that I happen to be awesome-ish at): Newsletters.

I started newsletters for two different founders last year, with just over 1,000 connections each. Both newsletters were based on a niche part of their business, and sent out once every other week.

You read that right. Two things a month.

And while I'd like to imagine the other content surrounding that newsletter was kick-ass, or contributed to the end result in some way, shape, or form. Those two newsletters were responsible for the majority of the traffic that went to their respective websites.

During one campaign, specifically, we focused on four articles aligned with a singular service. The client created a landing page specifically for the campaign. With each article, around 20 readers clicked through to the landing page. Bear in mind, the newsletter had just under 200 subscribers at the time. That's a click-through rate of over 10%!

Imagine having a consistent stream of weekly website visitors who already think you're awesome.

Imagine the time you'd save if all you had to do was publish 1 weekly newsletter and maybe two other posts if you feel like it.

Just thinking about it tempts me to ditch the podcast, and YouTube, and videos, and everything else for the simple old school of newsletters.

If nothing else, it'll show you five things:

  • Is your audience interested in what you offer?
  • Is your content captivating enough to make people want to click through?
  • Is your landing page, website, or blog effectively converting those clicks into sales or leads?
  • Are you overpriced?
  • Are you really putting in the effort to build relationships with your audience and understand their needs?

Newsletters are a stress-free way to get answers to all these questions. And this year, I'm going to lean into my awesomeness and geek out about LinkedIn newsletters with you.

'Cos between you and me, you have way better things to do with your time than spend 5 hours a week commenting on LinkedIn posts just to get leads.

📌 Not every piece of LinkedIn content will hit the mark, and that’s okay. The key is to pay attention to what resonates and double down. Use LinkedIn’s analytics tools to see which posts, headlines, and profile tweaks drive the most traffic and fine-tune accordingly.
