The new year has just begun and from AI advancements to new hiring techniques, 2018 will bring about a new landscape for human resource professionals. Through the adoption of new software technologies and emerging online resources, the field of Human Resources underwent some major structural changes in 2017 that have paved the way for a more personalized and more exact approach to HR in 2018.

AI and Analytics

The latest AI (artificial intelligence) technologies like chatbots are being employed by human resource departments for recruiting, employee service, and even coaching. New AI technologies in combination with more precise and easily accessible analytics resources are allowing human resources teams to become more exact and efficient in their practices.

In fact, according to a survey conducted by Forbes more than 92% of HR professionals agree that the future of providing valuable employee service includes chatbots through services like Textio and Talla. The interesting challenge to watch in 2018 will be how HR professionals best keep the “human” in human resources.
