For anyone who doesn’t know me, I am someone who has A LOT of ideas and forever has this hyper-active voice in my head, that’s constantly screaming with excitement! This newsletter is my way of channeling all these thoughts into sentences for your reading pleasure.

Sitting on the porch, of his penthouse perched on the 11th floor of his tech park, my conversations with my granddad always evoke crazy ideas in my mind. At the age of 90, my old man, with a lot of enthusiasm still talks about what to build next. After decades in business, expanding into many domains, from Horse Racing all the way to...(on second thought that’s a whole other newsletter😆)

Dada inspires me to unlearn and learn each day 🚀

This philosophy constantly churns my mind with questions and thoughts. With this curiosity, it was always a dream of mine to build a community-based business. And there began my entrepreneurial journey, taking in everyone with open arms. Now that I am building (and growing) my community, it’s time to reflect on what my purpose is.

I believe finding Purpose is an ongoing process! The world is changing faster than most people can process. The beauty of enjoying the journey while finding your purpose is an art in itself. While it's easy to get caught up trying to find meaning in the bigger picture, sometimes we can find our purpose even in the smallest of things.

Now, are you beginning to see why I chose to name this newsletter ‘re:purpose’? 🚀

Building in the Open 🌎

A very essential value that’s been passed on in my family for generations, is Transparency. Transparency AKA keeping it real (shout out to Gen Z for figuring this out better than any gen before them!) is the key to building trust & loyalty. Both are instrumental in building a cohesive community.

On the flip side, today’s startup culture encourages a certain level of secrecy, both within the company and in their community.

🔨 This is a practice I actively work towards de-constructing every day 🔨

Over the years, I’ve learned that having a no-door policy is one of the best ways to build trust.

What’s better than a no-door policy?

Not having a desk at all 💻

The no-desk approach requires me to be on my feet at all times and allows me to interact better with my team. I guess what I’m trying to say is…

Mind Games 🧠

It’s often funny how the mind works. You see someone doing something very simple, you hear people talking and random thoughts pop up in your head.

Over the week, I heard my mother discuss with her friends how spontaneous and on-the-go Gen Z is. How this generation picks up one thought, works on it, finds another, and moves on. I couldn’t escape this thought.

Are we a generation that tries many things but struggles to see them through?

Mom, here’s what I think- In the constant battle for our attention, social media platforms through which our generation communicates are constantly trying to, ‘redirect’ our attention by shoving ‘CTA’s’ into our brains.

Considering the chaos, Gen Z is navigating through, I think they’re cruising 🚗💨

What are your thoughts on this? 🤔

Phew 😅 that’s a wrap for today- but the voice in my head isn’t done talking, there’s a lot more to be said (and done!). Will be back next month!
