The Role of Artificial Intelligence As technology advances, so do the threats to computer systems and networks. Traditional library-based techniques for virus and intrusion detection fall short in providing adequate protection. To bolster our defences, we must explore alternative methods.

The AI Approach: Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods. These cutting-edge techniques aim to enhance the effectiveness of modern computer security. Let’s explore some key players:

  • Artificial Immune Systems: Inspired by the human immune system, these algorithms detect and neutralize threats dynamically.
  • Genetic Algorithms: Evolving solutions through natural selection, genetic algorithms adapt to changing attack patterns.
  • Genetic Programming: By evolving code structures, genetic programming optimizes security mechanisms.
  • Neural Networks: These deep learning models excel at pattern recognition, aiding threat analysis and system testing.

Practical Implementation, Several AI-based solutions have been implemented and tested. Their efficacy in countering sophisticated threats is promising. There is a need for a Holistic Approach to create a robust security system, we propose synthesizing AI methods with traditional security practices. By combining the best of both worlds, we fortify our defences against ever-evolving cyber threats. Remember, the future of computer security lies in the fusion of AI innovation and tried-and-true methods.
