ENVIRONMENTAL SUBSISTENCE

ENVIRONMENTAL SUBSISTENCE

There are many needs that we must immediately address as citizens of the world.

Within the diversity of tools that we have, we need to ask the private sector for financial investments for help.

So that they know the virtues of investing in sustainability in many aspects of daily life, but which are vital in the exercise of the subsistence of the human race.

Draw as a new meeting the extreme reduction for 2035 and start now the mechanisms that finance sustainability.

Today I want to invite the funds that invest in construction, to leave sectors that are already without profits and help us create the new reality with their clear and visible remunerations included in the equation.

The rise in sea level stalks 9 out of 10 beaches, which today hangs by a thread their subsistence.

The erosion of the coasts due to the use of sand for Real Estate, makes the seas rise and causes a very great inertia to meteorological disasters. Given the lack of containment that sand naturally offers.

That is why the speed with which the sea grows today is more serious than global warming.

But together they are a bomb, with a timer to explode.

In Europe, Spain experienced its own construction expansion.

Since 1996, the Real Estate explosion has grown and only 30% of these buildings are used to date.

The displacements of the former occupants of these sites were to crowded places and this trend is carried out in 96% of the world.

Citizens move away and generate new microclimates, but with conditions less than those they previously enjoyed.

The concentration of people in certain M2 generates subsidence, vertical constructions have a lot of weight and cause the same over time.

More than 60% of the world's new construction is in the hands of speculators, companies that seek more and better returns. By that time the sand from the coastal fronts is being devoured and the environment suffers, the animals are in danger of extinction.

We must think that these funds can change, since many times habits define behavior almost automatically.

In the sustainability sector, there are investments that do not have resting plateaus in earnings. Rather, they are circular, feed on waste and give them value to generate a sustainable cycle.

What we call "Transforming Liabilities into Assets", that is the Circular Economy that we propose to the investments of the future.

As an example of voracious construction, we have the tallest building in the world with sand from Australia.

The Burj Khalifa today has 90% of its empty spaces.

The 360 islands of Dubai that make up "The World" are uninhabited, without a single building and for this sands from other areas of the world were depopulated.

Highway constructions feed on the sand of the seashore, roads and public constructions are also part of the devastation of the planet.

But nobody notices it, we debate about the scarcity of water, because it is visible and it is necessary to survive. As for the sand there is no discussion about it, but it is of vital importance for our subsistence on earth.

The sand defends us from catastrophes, which climate change shows us more often.

Politicians, professionals and experts should have a high-profile debate on this topic.

Many tourist countries are losing their beaches, especially the most unknown and unspoiled ones that have no options to find a solution.

How to replace cement?

Analyzing recycled materials, when they fulfill their function they can be melted down and reused.

Metal, straw and cane, added to recyclable waste.

Like glass particles, it contains silicon, they behave the same and are the same in composition.

¼ of the glass is not recycled.

When the price of sand goes up, will there be new alternatives?

No, we can't wait, the debate is now !!!

We must return to a simpler and more balanced way of life to sustain the planet we live on.

Fight for our beaches, since the sand is not renewable. Work with nature and not against it.

Very interesting. That will be the new way to do business. Moderated profits values, but much stronger along the business life. Sustainable cycles of production (or any economic activity). Then I cannot avoid to think about regional and global logistics: would be a fantastic beacon for our and next generations. Congrats Diego and thanks for share it.

Congratulations on your article, really interesting.
