Exactech Design Team Surgeons Honored at Annual Meetings

Two world-renowned surgeons were recognized earlier this month for their contributions in orthopaedics by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), respectively.

Joseph Zuckerman, MD, of NYU Langone Health in New York City received the 2021 William W. Tipton Jr., MD, Leadership Award from AAOS. Serving as a design team member, consultant and clinical educator for Exactech, Dr. Zuckerman's contributions have helped pave the way for our company's innovations and success in shoulder arthroplasty.

Exactech Vantage® Total Ankle System design team member Prof. Victor Valderrabano, MD, PhD, of the Swiss Ortho Center in Basil, Switzerland was honored with the AOFAS Kenneth A. Johnson International Speaker Award which recognizes individuals from outside the U.S. and Canada who are making important ongoing contributions to the field of foot and ankle surgery.

Both Dr. Zuckerman and Dr. Valderrabano are trailblazers in orthopaedics and have helped guide Exactech's innovations in lower and upper extremity surgery. Congratulations on these prestigious honors!
