An exciting year ahead

An exciting year ahead

2023 has been an excellent year for Hermes Medical Solutions. We have welcomed many new Hermia users, and we continue to respond to new developments to bring outstanding benefits to patients. As a software specialist 100% focused on nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, we can adapt quickly to new medical advances and implement the features our customers need and want.

We continue to build awareness of the Hermia suite which delivers all the functionality a nuclear medicine department needs, in the most modern platform on the market. We always encourage hospitals to buy the best scanner and workstation for their needs – independently, and when it suits them. Hermia supports all scanner brands and lets you do everything you need on a single software platform. The software enables to extend their lifetime, reducing costs without compromising performance.

During this year, we have developed new versions of all our Hermia software components, which will be released early next year. The new versions include important new functionalities and support for the latest developments in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. Everything we do is aimed at simplifying workflows, making work faster and more automated for our customers.

We are committed to supporting promising therapeutic techniques that can make a difference in patients’ lives. Theranostics is one such area. We have seen a significant increase in the number of examinations, as well as the development of some interesting new tracers that we are pleased to be able to support. Many centers are beginning to investigate the technique and set up procedures, and the field is expanding rapidly.

There have also been exciting developments in neurology, such as new drug treatments to slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Nuclear medicine examinations of amyloid in the brain are central to the planning and monitoring of these treatments, which means an increased need for PET imaging and advanced analysis software. Our software supports these examinations, and the area has great potential to benefit millions of patients worldwide.

We are excited about the potential of new therapeutic areas, but above all, we are committed to improvements that make daily nuclear medicine work faster and more accurate. This is especially important in these challenging times when health services are overburdened and need to do more with fewer resources.

Customers often tell me about how pleased they are with the professional support we provide, as well as our agility and ability to implement requested features quickly. Customer focus and agility are vital parts of Hermes DNA that we will always prioritize.

These are exciting times for nuclear medicine. There is growing recognition of the value its high precision brings to both diagnostics and treatment, and we are in a great position to support emerging developments through innovative software – increasing the value of nuclear medicine by enabling fast and simple workflows and eliminating the need for multiple software systems. Our mission is to ensure that software is never a hurdle; it should be intuitive and allow nuclear medicine professionals to work from anywhere they want.

Our close connections with the clinical community are vital to achieving this goal. Nuclear medicine departments are at the heart of Hermes Medical Solutions, and we will continue to nurture these relationships. Your ideas and feedback drive the development of our software and I look forward to another great year together.
