FCC Environmental Services Awarded New Contract for Waste Collection Services in St. Johns County, FL
The Board of County Commissioners of St. Johns County in Florida has selected FCC Environmental Services to oversee Solid Waste Collection Services for the county as of the 1st of August of 2024.
Expressing heartfelt appreciation for this valuable opportunity, FCC Environmental Services is eager to embark on this new chapter of service for the over 300,000 residents of St. Johns County. The company remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.

The initial contract spans 7 years, with the potential for two (2) 5-year extensions, solidifying a lasting commitment between FCC Environmental Services and St. Johns County. The contract backlog for the initial duration plus extensions is projected to reach $575 million.
In alignment with this significant contract, FCC Environmental Services is dedicated to substantial operational investments. A planned investment of more than $40 million includes more than 60 state-of-the-art compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. This investment not only showcases FCC’s commitment to environmental sustainability, but also underscores its focus on providing innovative solutions to its esteemed clients.
