FedTech Empowers Future Innovators through the MSI Connect Program

The Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) Connect program, spearheaded by Brookhaven National Laboratory and the DOE Office of Technology Transitions , provides a unique opportunity for MSI undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni. This immersive summer fellowship unites these bright minds, pairing them with advanced DOE lab technologies to foster hands-on experience and cultivate innovative insights.

FedTech: Catalyzing Entrepreneurial Growth

FedTech proudly serves as an entrepreneurial content lead during the program’s intensive five-day Bootcamps. Our role is crucial in guiding participants as they engage with DOE lab technologies within three strategic focus areas: Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, Nuclear Energy, and Renewable Energy, with a particular emphasis on wind energy.

Bridging Innovation Across DOE Labs

FedTech's involvement spans various U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) labs, where we provide comprehensive support and mentorship to teams of aspiring innovators. These labs include:

The program is enriched by the participation of various distinguished Minority-Serving Institutions, including Howard University , Hampton University , The University of Texas at El Paso , West Virginia State University , Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University , The University of New Mexico , New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology , Texas Southern University , Joint School of Nanoscience & Nanoengineering , and University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras . This diversity enhances the collaborative experience and fosters a robust exchange of ideas and perspectives, driving the boundaries of innovation.
