When work is #meaningful
In 2007 I was exposed to Iberian Committee. It was my minute of fame! Couldn’t lose it, so I made a leaflet about me and gave a copy to each VP. HR VP asked me why I had work in all those places. The truth left my mouth before my brain could think about “the best” answer...
“It has to be easy to wake up in the morning”, I said.
Then someone asked what I liked the most about Schneider Electric.
“It’s green and full of energy, always moving further and looking forward.”
I’m 43 years old now. I’m a mother of 2 boys.
Lucas (4) doesn’t play with technology. He’s a skater, he likes to find animals below stones and he cultivates potatoes, cherry tomatoes and spices in our balcony. When he cannot go to the park, he plays with LEGO and dominó, builds with wood and “reads” books about all kind of animals and dinosaurs! One day he told me “girls don’t play football”. So, now we play football sometimes... even if I don’t like it too much. He’s a chef cooking eggs for breakfast every weekend!
Bruno (1) is an energetic baby and does everything he’s brother does.
A couple of weekends ago I traveled to Colombia for work. My #CEO was there and I had the pleasure to be invited. We were less than 30 people, it was weekend, we went to Botanic Garden.. it was different than any time I’ve been around him.
We had then our presentation. I had never been in a presentation to him before. The way he connects with people, his #respect for the others and his humbleness could have been my biggest take away.
But then #People and #Sustainability topics were addressed. Feeling the importance of this topics to #JPT was already #inspiring me. Then, he says he believes in a world where we can do more while protecting our planet. And reinforces, “I truly believe in this!”. In front of me, in person, not in a video nor a presentation, it was Jean Pascal Tricoire himself, the human being.
To feel the connection between who I am, what I believe, the way I raise 2 little men and what I do for a living was absolutely overwhelming!
I’m green and full of energy just like my company. And yes, it's easy to wake up in the morning!
