FHWA awards pavement data contract

The Federal Highway Administration recently awarded global consulting firm Stantec a $7.2 million contract potentially five years in length to collect data for the agency’s Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program across four regions of the U.S.: the North Atlantic, North Central, Southern, and Western. Data collected and analyzed from each region will provide FHWA with “perspective” in terms of understanding the performance of various pavements types, then applying this information to help highway agencies “build and maintain a cost-effective highway system.”
