WE'RE AT ANNECY FROM 13-15TH JUNE
Annecy International Film & Animation Festival is back, and this year we are partnering with our sister company The Mill , to bring you a team of VFX and Animation professionals.
From the 13th to the 15th of June you will find us in the Jardines de l'Europe, Annecy, where you will have a chance to meet our team, attend workshops, receive advice on your professional careers and much more fun activities!

PALME D'OR FOR ANATOMIE D'UNE CHUTE
Between 16-27th May, 10 members of the MPC Paris teams attended Cannes Film Festival. With 3 films for which the team created VFX for, we are proud to announce that Anatomie d'une Chute has been awarded with a Palme d'Or. Also known as the Golden Palm, this is the highest prize awarded at Cannes Film Festival. The title was chosen from a particularly strong selection of 21 movies - well done to all those involved 👏

PREHISTORIC PLANET 2
Apple TV+ is back with season 2 of Prehistoric Planet! From executive producers Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton, and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the series combines award-winning wildlife filmmaking, the latest paleontology learnings and state-of-the-art technology that unveils the spectacular habitats and inhabitants of ancient Earth for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience.
The VFX and Animation for the series was led by Production VFX Supervisor Elliot Newman , who worked closely with MPC VFX Supervisors Kirstin Hall and Andy Hargreaves and teams based in London, Bangalore, Montreal and Los Angeles. MPC delivered over 1000 shots for the series, crafting a total of 58 dinosaurs and prehistoric animals including tyrannosaurid species, 5 sauropods, 6 marine reptiles and 5 pterosaurs.
TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS
Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new faction of Transformers – the Maximals – to join them as allies in the existing battle for earth. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, the film arrived in theatres last week.
THE LITTLE MERMAID
The enchanting world of The Little Mermaid has once again come back to our screens, and we couldn't be more excited! Get ready to dive into the breathtaking adventure of Ariel and her friends. To make your anticipation soar, take a look at the full official trailer below, featuring incredible visual effects brought to you by MPC, every frame will immerse you in a sea of wonder.
It's been a busy month packed with studio events for our Montréal team! From celebrating May the 4th, The Little Mermaid screening, to signing and giving away Transformers: Rise of The Beasts posters; it's safe to say the team had a full calendar!
With 83 attendees and 6 hours of training, the Montréal team also had a fantastic camera and color training event for Layout Artists, Compositors and Animators. ARRI brought the latest Alexa 35 into the studio and Francois Gauthier conducted an amazing workshop, giving a close-up experience on the cinema camera.
