Flame Retardant Polyester Fiber

Flame retardant polyester fiber, abbreviated as FR-PET, refers to the copolymerization, blending or finishing, and other methods to make polyester fiber with non-combustible or non-flammable properties under combustion conditions to achieve the flame retardant effect.

In the chemical fiber market, polyester fiber is the most widely used and has the largest production. But it has the disadvantage of flammability. Flame retardant polyester fiber is a kind of functional fiber specially developed to improve the flammability defect of an ordinary one. It is widely used in apparel, household, decoration, non-woven fabrics, and fillers.

Relying on the strong R&D capability, Hubei decon has successfully produced Flame Retardant Polyester Chip, which can be used for FR-PET Spinning. The fiber flame retardant effect of our FR-PET can reach the European standard NF P92-507M1 level. It is a phosphorus copolymer flame retardant. Phosphorus content can reach 6500ppm. The limit of oxygen index is no less than 30. Compared with FR-PET made from flame retardant masterbatch, our flame retardant fiber has more effective phosphorus element content, better dyeing uniformity, lower cost, and better stability.
