FOCUS: Fight Obstacles Consistently Unapologetically & Successfully

For some time, since leaving my job end of Feb, I have been AWOL. I had not realised that the world out there is that hectic and busy. My typical routine for the past 8 years had been waking up, taking a shower, driving off to work and spending the entire 8 hours closed up in the office and going back home.

Being your own boss, has shown me just how much I was blinkered from the goings-on in the country and now it seems like the 24 hours in a day is not sufficient at all.

The one thing that I am slowly mastering as I try to establish my feet in this highly competitive and busy world is FOCUSING!  There are 24 hours in a day to an entrepreneur and if you are not FOCUSED, you may not realize anything tangible in those hours and thats when one starts regretting why they ever left their employ.

I will list some steps to take in trying to FOCUS as an Entrepreneur.

1.. DAILY PLANNER

As an Entrepreneur, ensure that you have your next day planned in advance, know all the meetings you are going to have in advance, the people you intend to call and everything should be diarized. You should not wake up and start thinking what you need to do that day.

2.. TIME MANAGEMENT - TIME IS PRECIOUS

After diarizing the events, make sure you adhere to the time-slots allocated each project or meeting. Time is money and is precious, if you get carried away, lack of time management will affect the schedule of the following days and the entire week will resultantly be distorted.

3.. SPECIALIZE - DON'T BE A JACK OF ALL TRADES & A MASTER OF NONE.

So Cliche like, this saying has done the rounds over and over, and now  I realize how true it actually is. Don't waste time chasing so many things all at once, but rather FOCUS your energy on the one thing you truly love and definitely you will excel in that area/domain.

4.. VISUALIZE THE DESTINATION

Don't be an Alice in wonderland who didn't care much where she wanted to go as long as she ended up somewhere.

5.. LIVE IT

Of course, hard work pays. After all this FOCUS, the most deserved reward is to Live the results. FOCUS certainly has rewards at the end of the day. Stay in lane, don't straddle and inspire others!!!!
