Wireless patient monitoring, in conjunction with advanced technologies like the Medical Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML), plays a pivotal role in preventing critical emergencies. By continuously collecting and analysing vital signs in real-time, these innovative devices act as alert sentinels, allowing healthcare providers to identify subtle changes in a patient's condition before they escalate into crises. This proactive monitoring enables early intervention, as healthcare professionals can anticipate potential issues and implement timely measures to avert emergencies. Moreover, the integration of predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms further enhances the system's ability to recognise patterns and trends that may precede Code Blue events. The shift from reactive to proactive care represents a paradigm change in emergency healthcare, where the emphasis is on prevention rather than crisis management, contributing significantly to the overall improvement in patient outcomes. 

So, how can we move beyond the traditional code-blue model and elevate our response to a new level of effectiveness? 

The traditional code blue system, while vital, comes with inherent limitations. The sudden announcement, often lacking critical initial information, can trigger a rushed, unorganized response.
