To the Gaye family….
Ok, sorry people, been busy starting my suit and tie rap, but I am extremely livid. Dear Gaye Family, thank you for putting a nice dent into the music industry. You greedy bastards, who can't make anything musical like your father, and are living off his estate. Nice crying game, claiming that your free from the chains Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams bestowed on you. Seriously?!?!? WTF?!?! You got awarded 7.3 million. Not enough? Now they recently admitted in an interview that they are taking a close listen to Pharrell's "Happy" and might bring another lawsuit. "It's not about the money." Sure it isn't. If this is the case, then every family who are decedents of every R&B and Blues musician from the 50's and 60's have every right to put lawsuits on the Elvis estate, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc. All those bands have admitted that they were heavily influenced by those musicians, and put their "own spin" on those blues and r&b classics, but didn't anyone go knocking on their door? Time to start knocking. Generation upon generation, every artist was influenced by someone, and something magical happens. On the real, some who were told that "Blurred Lines" sounds like "Got to Give It Up" most likely went and sought out Marvin Gaye's catalog, and now their is a younger fan generation that is finding his music. Hip Hop did the same for old school artists they sampled, and gave them a second chance. Be grateful instead of greedy. If Marvin was alive, he probably would've been on it, or at least the remix, but he'd be diggin' it. Hey, "Uptown Funk" sound like "Jungle Love". Guess Morris Day got a case against Bruno Mars. SMFH. Jerome, I'm out. Peace.

9yCap, the whole thing stinks like "yesterday's diaper"... Better quote or I'll be sued by Baby Herman. I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by all of this. I knew I could count on you to shed some light to this greedy and "take down" world we live in. Mr. Gaye would've most certainly been on the remix had he been with us today. I hope this didn't effect Robin or Pharell's talent or drive to put amazing music out to us. It was definitely a sad day in the music industry.
