The Giants On Field Leaps To Motivate And Inspire Young People In The Classroom

The best of sport was seen and experienced at the MCG last Friday night (22nd September 2023).  A live crowd of over 90,000 of people witnessed the AFL, Collingwood v GWS GIANTS game with more than 1 million also tuning in on TV.  At the end of the thrilling match only one point separated the two sides with Collingwood just coming out on top.  The win provided their team and supporters a huge high and a place in the Grand-final.  For the Giants, the loss by the smallest of margin was devastating and  a bitter pill to swallow for all involved. Despite this, they should be truly proud of this year’s achievements. They have been an exciting team all season and without a doubt are setting a platform for growth the future.

Working in elite sport can be exciting but to survive you also need to be able to deal with such difficult  losses. A lesson which every human being needs to learn.  We will all experience this at some point in life and have to get through it. Building learned optimism performance improvement/growth mindset and resilience is key.
