Grow your Soul, Clean your Soil

What is a Good Soil?

We were taught that in order for anything to grow, it needs a good soil. What is a good soil? Is it only the good soil that would help to grow a healthy crop?

A good soil can be created, and every experienced gardener knows the secret of building a great soil for a great garden. When the soil is ready, and whether we are experienced planters or not, and even if we think we are not, and we did plant some seeds, the care for them differs from watering habits to weather conditions and other factors. We learn this with experience or the instructions given to us. We then start the schedule of when to water the plants, when to add the fertilizers and adjust it according to the needs of the plant.

We want it to grow and become greener and bigger. We adapt to the change and feel the sense of achievement when we see the plant growing.

Souls can grow

Our souls can grow. They grow through the journey of life. Through this journey, we feel that thirst, the thirst of our soul. Is it as simple as growing a plant?

Given that we are all different. Do we need different soils? Each one of us follows an individual path.

We are different and that’s the beauty of it. We are unique. We come to this life free as a baby, happy, simple, and enjoying every moment, then we start growing and suddenly that sense of excitement stops. We face challenges, we get hurt, we start embracing fear, and we start hindering our abilities.

And here we are, we allow the external factors to mess up with our free soul, and then our inner soil gets affected. It gets intoxicated, filled with various residues like anger, low self-esteem, sadness, and negative self-talk. We lose our connection with freedom.... That emotional freedom that used to drive us to saying “The Sky is the limit. You can do it.”

This is the wake up call.

Yes… You can grow your soul.... No matter what has happened, no matter what you’ve faced, no matter how you acted, and no matter how guilty you feel. You can grow your soul.

You are the Gardener of your Soul. You can create the masterpiece of YOU.

Take a step back and enjoy a deep breath.

Do not underestimate what would five minutes of closed eyes in silence do to you. It shuts the mind, cutting down the thoughts, keeping you in complete relaxation… no rush no pushing. You are only connecting with the strong power in this universe. You are being brought to awareness.

You can even take your soul for a walk. You go with your body and you take the soul with you. Your soul then will realize the beauty of nature or anything that is beautiful.

Improve the soil. Remove those residues. It only starts by forgiving yourself and letting go. Do not let the past hold you. Is the past going to change your present? No. It won’t. Accept it and Let go. Let go of this past and whatever pains it has caused or is still causing, accept that it can’t change the present.

Just tell yourself: “Dear Past, Thank you for the lesson. It has made me what I am today. I choose to let go and move on. I can and I will be kind to myself. I am stepping into the best version of myself.

While cleaning your own soil, you can do some steps that can grow you soul:

Practice the art of Kindness

Yes it is an art. What kind of vibes do you want to be surrounded with? Vibes of kindness is what your soul nurtures on. Practice kindness to yourself first. Take care of you. Your body requires healthy food and exercise, so does your soul, it needs kindness and love. Change any negative self talk into positive affirmations of kindness.

Pay it forward

Help someone in need or do some volunteer work. There is nothing more self-fulfilling than creating a cycle of giving. You create it in the receiver too. It makes us connect to each other as humans. We feel with one another. We give, the receiver gives, and the cycle continue. It spreads gratefulness and appreciation.

Fuel your passion

Passion: a big word, which we need to dwell more into. Fuel that passion. Do more of what you like to do. Ask yourself: “What am I passionate about?” By now you probably know the answer to that question. A better way of asking though is: “If I had a day to do what I like, what would I spend the day doing?”.

The answer to this question is key. Remove the excuses of I am too busy or I don’t have time. Make time for it. Put it in your calendar. Whether you want to learn how to dance or you want to learn how to cook a special dish. Find the time for it and while you are in the process, befriend only who encourages you more towards your passion.

Use your vibe to attract your tribe

One line I personally enjoy hearing is:” Your vibe attracts your tribe.”, so be around people who share the same passion or who are playing a role in pushing you forward. Research where and how you can work towards your passion. Giving time to your passion is a sign of self-love and of nurturing your soul.

YES. You can grow your soul.

My personal advise is: “Whatever inspires you, build on that inspiration. Do what you love to do and what fascinates your heart. Unleash your talent. Be dedicated and experiment. Don’t dwell into successes or failures. It’s all a step forward. Reflect passion in the life of others and enjoy your creative journey.”
