Happy Veterans Day

I want to personally wish all of you a very Happy Veterans Day. November 11th, SVT recognizes Veterans Day as a company holiday to recognize and honor the demands and sacrifices our soldiers and their families must make.  On Veterans Day, we honor and thank our colleagues, clients, friends, and family members for their dedicated service to our great nation.  Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor ALL those who served honorably in the military - in wartime or peacetime. In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.

As most of you may know, SVT has long deep ties in the US armed forces. Over 33 years ago, I, like many others in our company, raised our right hands to solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United State against all enemies, foreign, and domestic; bear true faith and allegiance to the same.  Since that day, I served my country proudly for 20+ years and now honorably retired.  SVT continuously serves and supports all branches of military service for our 18+ years of business.  This week, for the 6th time, ScaVet Technologies (SVT) has been recognized by veterans’ organizations as South Jersey’s Best Service Disabled Veterans Owned Company to work for, and a company committed to serving those who serve – through our community support to organizations such as Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and two (2) Scholarships at Rowan college of New Jersey for transitioning veterans.

Today I ask you all, please honor a college, family member, friend, neighbor, or someone you may know that’s a veteran.   If possible, take 5 minutes and visit a veteran’s hospital, spending a few moments chatting with elderly or injured soldiers to brighten their day.  Maybe have the kids organize a care package for a soldier deployed overseas that won’t get to see their family over the holidays or may be just take a moment during a coffee break and say THANK YOU to a veteran.

To my brothers and sisters in arms... THANK YOU!

Best Regards,

Brian Scavetta
