  • Brief overview of background: I studied Information Technology at the University of Huddersfield. For my industrial placement during university, I was selected to work as a technician at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. I joined O2 as a graduate in the Early Careers programme. 
  • What their current role involves: My current role involves using automation technology to assist teams from across the business, and helping the business realise the value and benefits that can come from implementing automation.  
  • Favourite part of their job: The new, exciting challenges that come from automation requests from across the business, the opportunities to learn, and working as part of a great team. 
  • Why they would encourage women/girls to go into the same profession: Girls and women absolutely belong within engineering and other core STEM fields. Engineers are curious, inquisitive, detail-oriented, and creatively solve problems, so if this sounds like you – don’t doubt yourself and go for it!    
  • Advice on how to #BreaktheBias: Have the courage to challenge the status quo and call out inequality where you see it. If something doesn’t sit right with you, question it. Everyone has a platform, and you don’t realise the impact you can have until you start using it, to talk about issues and causes which matter to you.
