HealthCare Digital Transformation

Does your health company know about the digital transformation and revolution?

Using digital channels in addition to traditional care is essential for business growth as the healthcare landscape continues to rapidly change. Here are some of the best strategies that can help take your healthcare business in India to new heights:

Build a frictionless patient experience

• Design user-friendly websites and apps enabling good customer journey.

• Allow online appointment booking and telemedicine options (with necessary regulatory permissions).

• Ensure smooth transitions between digital and in-person care.

Coordinate marketing efforts across channels

• Keep consistent messaging on all platforms.

• Engage patients and share health tips through social media.

• Use email marketing for personalized communication.

Implement data-driven marketing

• Look for trends or preferences within patient data analysis, maintaining complete confidentiality of first-party data with data governance and security practices in place.

• Customize marketing campaigns leveraging the insights derived.

• Measure success by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Embrace content marketing

• Create relevant health-related content that not only appeals to your target audience but also helps them solve their immediate problems. Create content such as blog posts, videos and infographics.

• Share valuable information about wellness and prevention techniques through various channels. Focus on solutions and top + middle of the funnel audience rather than just focusing on transactions at the bottom of the funnel.

• Position your brand as a trusted source of health knowledge in the market place.

Optimize for local search

• Claim and update your Google My Business listing so it shows up frequently when people search for nearby services.

• Encourage patients to leave reviews on popular platforms such as Facebook, Google Maps listing, etc.

• Use location-based keywords within website copy or metadata tags, such as including neighborhood location names etc., so search engines understand what areas you serve better.

• Create the right pages and content serving different customer segments, areas, interests, etc.

Leverage influencer partnerships

Collaborate with industry (technical) influencers who have large followings related specifically towards healthy lifestyles, living well, etc.

Hold webinars featuring experts from within these circles talking about different medical topics like weight loss diabetes management, etc. This will give followers something valuable they can take away with them and it’s good for raising awareness too.

Share patient success stories (with proper consent) through such individuals but make sure to include disclaimers as every patient requires a customised approach by HCP.

Invest in paid advertising

• Utilize targeted ads on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.

• Run Google Ads campaigns for services like “best dentist in Delhi” “top orthopedic surgeon Mumbai” etc., which are specific enough that only people who need those particular specialties would see them and where you are more likely to convert any clicks into leads or appointments booked with doctors, where applicable.

Offer virtual health education programs

• Organize online workshops focusing mostly around preventative care i.e., how can you avoid getting sick in the first place?

Or things like “how to manage your child’s asthma” etc. This will help establish you as an authority figure when it comes down to overall well-being maintenance among parents within communities served by your establishment.

Implement a referral program

• Make sure satisfied patients know they can refer friends or family members for service with rewards given out upon successful completion of the said referrals.

• Provide incentives such as discounts off future treatments, free consultations, etc., so that way not only do existing clients feel appreciated but also the potential audience feel compelled towards trying out their offerings at least once thanks to word-of-mouth recommendations from trusted sources.

Focus on mobile optimization

• Make certain all aspects of website design respond well across various screen sizes especially those smaller hand-held devices commonly referred to as smartphones/tablets because bad experience gets users to bounce off and never return to the website.

• Create user friendly mobile apps for patients which they can download onto their mobile devices where they can always have a quick access for booking appointments, checking test results and reports, finding general information about services provided, etc.

• Utilize Email, SMS, WhatsApp, etc engagement when it comes down to things like appointment reminders updates to notify them on the go and decreasing the probability of churn / missing appointments.

By adopting these strategies, you can increase the online presence of your healthcare business while still maintaining quality traditional care. Remember: a patient-first approach is key!
