About the keynote speaker:

The Honorable Paulette Jordan, a 2020 U.S. Senate Nominee, making history as the first woman and Native American elected to represent a major party in the State of Idaho, Representative Paulette Jordan is committed to sovereignty and service. Paulette’s leadership is characterized by governing with integrity, and by embodying independence more than asserting ideology. A nationally acclaimed leader, Paulette Jordan is an influential business executive and voice for the future. Prior to her election to the Idaho House in 2014, Jordan won a seat on the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Council. Paulette’s ancestors regarded stewardship of their homelands as among their most significant responsibilities, and Paulette inherited their legacy. She advocates policies that promote economic independence, sustainable agriculture, food sovereignty, functional and integrative medicine, human rights, and clean energy plans that recognize the rights of nature. As a State Representative (2014-2018), Paulette served as a member of the Resources and Conservation Committee, the State Affairs Committee, and the Energy, Environment & Technology Committee. She was appointed by the House Speaker to represent Idaho on the Energy and Environment Committee of the Council of State Governments-West, a legislative organization representing thirteen states in the western region. She was also a member of the Idaho Economic Outlook and Revenue Assessment Committee, the Legislative Criminal Justice Reinvestment Oversight Committee, and an appointed representative to the Idaho Human Rights Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Additionally, Paulette served as Chair of the Energy, Natural Resources, and Transportation Committee for the National Caucus of Native American State Legislators. In this role, Paulette hosted a set of successful national Energy Summits in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and sovereign Tribal Nations.

Today, the Honorable Representative Paulette Jordan is the Secretary of the Indian Gaming Association (elected from 2010-2025), a national non-profit organization established to represent and protect Tribal Nations on all social, political, and economic matters. While a Director, she has served as the Northwest Representative, Finance Chair, and Economic Development Chair.
