Hot take: Ticketing will accelerate blockchain adoption faster than any new L1

Every year, over a billion dollars is lost to fake ticket sales. It makes the experience worse for attendees and damages the reputation of event organisers. The process of ticket reselling is not only painful but also lacks transparency.

For example, earlier this year, Vicky, a 31-year-old from Greater Manchester, fell victim to a scam, losing £230. She purchased tickets she believed were legitimate for Taylor Swift's concert in Liverpool, part of the UK segment of the Eras tour, through a local Facebook group.

Now we’re lucky. Why? All of us in crypto know something others don't. Blockchain actually solves these issues for both event organisers and attendees.

At XOXNO , we believe we've discovered the key to resolving this issue.

PFPs, trading and now tickets!

Initially, NFTs were all about community building, art and trading. First collections were created by crypto natives, but as the market surged, more brands jumped on board.

MultiversX is no different. Various festivals and events have launched limited-edition collections, each offering unique perks:

However, integrating blockchain into ticketing was once too complex, with no efficient solutions available. Until now.

What we bring to the table

We’ve analysed both traditional ticketing platforms and emerging web3 ticketing startups. The current offerings often fall short in mobile user experience and fail to tackle ownership and reselling issues.

Our goal is to merge the advantages of blockchain with smooth user onboarding and UX. We chose MultiversX because sharding infrastructure is exactly what we need to scale the ticketing at a later stage.

We’re excited to share that our first MVP will go live already on 7-8th September with Sense4Fit Summit !
