🌠 Nano Tips: What is ATS?

Beware, it's the ATS — the notorious Applicant Tracking System, here to reject your resume 😈 Or is it really?

The truth is, the ATS is just a tool used by HR and recruiters to keep track of candidate information. And fear not, resumes are still read by a human - the ATS just helps organize the different components.

“So Sho, what do I do?”

🎾 Blog Post: How To Bounce Back After Being Laid Off

It can feel scary to go on LinkedIn these days and read the headlines from the big tech guys.

  • Microsoft laid off 10,000 — 5% of their workforce since 2020.
  • Meta cut over 11,000 employees last year.
  • Google laid off 12,000 workers just last month.

According to Layoffs.fyi, at least 150,000+ got laid off from more than a thousand tech companies last year.

And it’s even scarier if you are one of the thousands impacted by the news.

I know it’s 100x easier to say this from an outside perspective, but if you have been let go by your former employer, I am sorry you have to go through this. I’ve rounded up five things you can do to pick yourself up after being laid off.

The first step is to give yourself time & grace. And the next few steps are to step into that amazing candidate that I know you!

Fabulous! I love the quick and targeted topics, ease of reading, and relevance. I love that you take your work very seriously, but you don't take yourself too seriously. You bring your happy and energetic personality to all the content you create, which makes it relatable and achievable. And, like me, I bet that everyone here feels like you are talking right to them personally! I can't wait to read more.
