How far has wind O&M come in the past five years?

At Windpower Monthly, we interviewed Stanislav Cetkovsky, Head of O&M at CEZ, to discuss his perspective on blade inspection and repair prior to the Blade O&M Europe conference, taking place March 12th - 14th, 2019.

When asked about what has changed in O&M over the past five years, Stanislav noted the industry-wide pressures on reducing operational expenditure. "On top of that, O&M has been moving ever-more strongly away from full maintenance contracts toward individual customer-oriented solutions."

When asked about limitations to current blade condition monitoring systems, he warned, "My experience is that structural damages detection is functionally limited, therefore periodical visual inspection is still irreplaceable"

To find out more about Stanislav's views on what's new in operations and maintenance, and what can be improved, you can read the full interview HERE.

Stanislav will be speaking on the panel, "Trends in Blade Operations and Maintenance to Prepare for in the Next Year", at Blade O&M Europe 2019, alongside Roland Flaig (Head of O&M, E.On) and Anders Rylin (Head of Operations, Stena Renewables). Join us in Amsterdam to learn more about upcoming technology and strategies that can further optimise blade operations and maintenance.
