As an adjuster, I would take what I called mental health days. This I decided was best for me. I did not openly discuss this with anyone, but I knew when it was getting to me, I stepped away. This allowed me to recharge and get back to the grind. AIG was a great company. If my child needed me, I stayed home. One claim manager told me if I was worried about my child, I was not good for the office. AIG really took great care of crisis moments involving employees in our office. I really appreciated my career there. Take care of your mental health so you can keep going.
