How to use Alotcer‘s industrial router-AR7088H？

Step 1: Check for the following tools：

Encasement List：1 Alotcer industrial router,2 Cellular antenna,1 WIFI antenna, 1 Network cable,1Adapter (optional)  

Note: SIM card is usually provided by yourself.

Step 2: Install the SIM card

Firstly power off the router, and press the out button of the SIM/UIM card outlet with a needle object. Then the SIM/UIM card sheath will flick out at once. Put SIM/UIM card into the card sheath (Pay attention to put the side which has metal point outside), and insert card sheath back to the SIM/UIM card outlet.

Warning: Forbid to install SIM/UIM card when powered!

Step 3: Connect the antenna

Note: Generally, there are two antennas. The installation is shown in the figure:

Step 4: Configuration Connection

Before configuration, you should connect the router and your PC with the supplied network cable. Plug the cable’s one end into the Local Network port of the router, and another end into your PC’s Ethernet port. 

The connection diagram is as following:

This industrial router supports the serial port DTU function. When you need to use the serial port DTU function, connect your device through the serial cable. (Support RS485/232 interface)

Step 5: Plug in the power

The power supply voltage used by the router is DC12V.

Step 6：Installation check

When it is installed and ready to be powered on, try to press the SIM card to check if it is inserted tightly. Check the working status of the router after power on, the PWR indicator will be on.

Indicator Lights Introduction

The router provides following indicator lights: “Power”, “SIG”, “NET”, “APP”, “LINK”

Please check the indicator light according to the following form.

Step 7: The installation is complete

According to the above steps, we can install the router, and then configure the router according to the manual, and then it can be used.
