ICAO Spotlight - January 2025

Happy New Year! We’re excited to start 2025 with some exciting updates in this month's newsletter. To begin, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of ICAO Explained, a new video series to help you better understand who we are, our mission, and the critical work we undertake to support global aviation. There are also several highly anticipated ICAO events to attend, including the Global Implementation Support Symposium taking place in less than two weeks in Abu Dhabi! Lastly, to support the capacity-building endeavours of States, ICAO is offering a significantly reduced rate on its Traveler Identification Programme (TRIP) Strategy course throughout 2025.

In our new video series, ICAO Explained, we have embarked on a journey to explain who we are—our origins, mission, and the critical work we undertake. In this first episode, “Uniting the Skies,” we are exploring the history of ICAO, beginning with that first meeting that took place in Chicago in the wake of World War II.
