I'm Now a Startup CEO...

…and I’ve never been more terrified or excited in my life. Today was my last day as a full-time employee at Cambia Health Solutions. I spent five great years there, but quit in order to dive head first into the deep end of entrepreneurship and focus entirely on my own startup, a venture I founded 6 months ago which, up until today, has been a side hustle.

So what is it that I’ll be working on? I’ve actually been hired as the first independent headhunter for the World Scrabble Association, where I’ll be recruiting promising young talent to the grueling sport of Scrabble.

Just kidding. I’m actually building a voice-enabled productivity assistant powered by artificial intelligence called Tali. With Tali, lawyers, accountants, freelancers and other professionals can track their time throughout the day using only their voice. Tali will even integrate with your existing invoicing or billing system, completely eliminating the chore of manual time entry.

You can find out more about Tali and even sign up for the app at www.telltali.com. You can always e-mail me with any questions or feedback as well at volm@threematts.com

There’s a lot more to the story of Tali that I plan to share in the weeks ahead, including how I “accidentally” came up with the idea for Tali and how my co-founders and I went from concept to seed funding in 90 days. Oh, and the fact that Tali was founded by three guys, all of whom are named Matt (spoiler alert: one Matt built a 200 square foot tiny house in the woods of California for himself, his wife and his three kids).

Be sure to follow Tali to hear these stories and track our progress - if the next 6 months are anything like the last, we’ll have tons to share!

I applaud you for your courage and the risk you took. I have always wanted to start my own company... Best of luck and wish the product is a great success!

Good luck! The professional services industry needs you!

Best of luck with your new adventure - but I really thought the Scrabble job sounded great! Ha ha! Can you tell I'm one of Jeff's friends?
