Indian polity has a better model for growth than China.

Indian independence came with democracy and federal structure of govt. Democracy means 'Rule of the people, by the people and for the people' & federalism stands for division of power into stages, in India we have 3 stages :- local govt, State govt and Central govt.

The culture of electing representatives through election which are held at every five years provides people an opportunity to take part in the decision making process. India is considered to be the largest democracy in the world and it is appreciated for holding such a diverse nation under an umbrella. This umbrella is ' The Constitution of India'.

The Constitution provides and guarantees equal rights to all the citizens. The rights such as equality before law, right to freedom of expression, right to education and the right to freedom of religion resulted in holding the diverse population together and make them fit to contribute to the growth of the nation. India has been regularly been praised for rising the feeling of oneness in diversity.

The three pillars of democracy :- legislature, Judiciary and Executive take control of the powers of each other and assure that no one misuses the power.

India is still facing the problem of poverty, illiteracy and corruption after 71 years of independence. GDP of India hasn't grown to 2 digits but Indian polity system has a hope for better performance because it has the right perspective of population handling not by force but by will.

China is a great nation in terms of population or in terms of economy. They achieved a remarkable growth in past decades through some policies. They have been able to convert their population into asset but behind this happy story there are dark realities of violation of human rights at a very large scale. One child policy came out to be productive but the enforcement of the policy by law caused a reign of terror in citizens. Chinese govt which we all know follows communism (centralisation of power in some hands) takes care( food, education and shelter) of every child of the workers who work in factories in the big cities but they are not allowed to be with their child as it could hamper the productivity of Companies.

Censorship on media(fully govt controlled) curbs the people's voice. The working conditions of the electronics industry workers are worst as their heart, lungs and eyes are damaged due to cheap chemicals. The International Human rights forum is not allowed to work in that country. No one is allowed to protest against the government.

These all above circumstances leads to restlessness and lacking of faith among citizens for polity system.

The least I can say that growth is necessary but the more important thing is how we gonna achieve this.
