INTERNATIONAL CULINARY REGIONS
In our world, food cuisine is different and is based upon where it comes from. Food plays a significant role in each culinary region and shows the traditional value of the respective area. Each cuisine has its own style of cooking characterized by distinctive ingredients, techniques, and original dishes, and is usually associated with a specific multicultural or geographic region. Symbolic methods of food preparation used by the peoples' traditions, ethnic identities, customs, race, and ingredients often combine to create dishes unique to a particular region. The different flavors that each ingredient used in a recipe contributes to the final dish help show the real distinctions of the culinary regions on the world map. All this tells us the stories that have expanded to include new and exciting foods and dishes that we now call our own.
As a culinary teacher, one of the greatest things that I can do is educate our future generation of young chefs by providing them with scientific knowledge. My main point is that I do this through training programs involving a methodology of combining technical culinary skills with the modern art of cooking technology. I sincerely hope that this will give culinary students the confidence to get them ready for success with the professional talent of tomorrow to excel and take over our culinary industry with great responsibility. I believe that every culinary student who is in the hospitality industry must have a fundamental knowledge of the vivid flavor combinations that are relevant to a particular regional cuisine.
