International Women's Day

In 2003, Hesty Leibtag was passionate about bringing a new type of repping company to the Canadian animation industry, and saw potential in her vision. A year later, she called upon her long-time pal Lisa Batke to join forces in her mission. Since then, Hesty and Lisa have built Hestyreps into a reputable creative resource that prioritizes creativity and innovation, representing some of the world's brightest creative studios with a focus on animation, design, live action, motion graphics, illustration and interactive/experiential projects.

Hesty brings a diverse set of skills and experience to her role as a founder and partner of Hestyreps. With her background in sales, marketing and entrepreneurship, she’s developed a strong understanding of how to successfully position Hestyreps as a trusted resource within the animation industry. Her experience across various media-related industries, including animation and post-production, gives her a unique perspective and insight into the industry as a whole.

Lisa brings extensive experience in the field of animation and design to the advertising industry. Her wealth of knowledge and expertise in this field began early in her career, working in Film and TV before transitioning to the commercial industry as an Executive Producer and Head of Production. Lisa has brought this experience along with years of leadership to her role as Managing Partner at Hestyreps helping to grow the company to represent some of the world's most talented creative studios.

Together, Hesty and Lisa have been trailblazers in their industry for over 20 years, shattering glass ceilings and breaking through industry-related barriers. As a women-founded and run agency, the Hestyreps team is composed of 80% womxn. They hope that through their commitment to supporting more womxn involvement within the advertising industry, they can inspire other companies and industries to do the same.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we are thrilled to use our platform at Hestyreps to acknowledge the many contributions of female-identifying creatives in our industry, as we continue to highlight and showcase some of the talented womxn from across our roster studios throughout the month of March. We look forward to seeing how the next generation of womxn creatives will transform our industry with their vision, talents and skill-sets, ultimately increasing diversity and representation across all creative industries.
