Invitation to International Collaboration for Environmental Sustainability (ICES)

Dear Colleague,

“Environmental sustainability is the ability to maintain rates of renewable resource harvest, pollution creation, and non-renewable resource depletion that can be continued indefinitely”

ICES is an international network with the aim of facilitating scientific and research collaboration toward building a sustainable environment. The ICES was formed about 5 years ago as a nonprofit collaboration to encourage academics, researchers and motivated students to cooperate in order to conduct collaborative interdisciplinary research on Environmental Sustainability (ES) related issues.
At present, ICES membership has gone further and includes academic faculty members, researchers, policy makers, NGOs, and managers from a wide variety of scientific disciplines. With knowledge on the necessity of a sustainable environment in an unsustainable world, we recognize the urge for such a collaboration to attain following goals and objectives:
• Developing guidelines for conducting and evaluating ES
• Indicating the position of ES in the context of sustainable development
• Moving toward global implementation of ES concept
• Creating a database of resources on the theory, practice, and outcomes of ES
• Recognizing high motivated members to contribute in international handbooks/publishes
• Creating an opportunity for members to participate in special events such as projects, conferences, workshops and meetings
• Encouraging professionals, academics, researchers, organizations, NGOs and governments to work together to reach more comprehensive agreement on ES goals
We are pleased to receive and discuss your ideas and knowledge in ICES. At first step, we attempt to achieve our goals through making a virtual network in LinkedIn professional research network, and we hope to extend our activities beyond this. The collaboration membership in the ICES can open windows of opportunity for your scientific and professional growth and development.
