REST IN PEACE
On this very day, 12 February, exactly one year ago, my father passed away peacefully in his home town of Sigüenza. I was unable to attend the funeral because of Covid restrictions at the time.
Although we also missed his recent memorial guitar concert, we finally reached Sigüenza in the Smart EQ on a fittingly bright blue sunny morning, and were able to visit his grave in order to pay our respects. A fittingly beautiful resting place. Quiet, peaceful, respectful.
The words on his gravestone niche say it all:
‘Dr. José Luis Romanillos Vega, Master luthier and historian, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.’
