Joining Forces for Clean Oceans: PACE Sponsors Wild Waves

We’re stoked to share that we’re sponsoring Wild Waves! Where two adventurous women will row a whopping 3,000 miles across the Pacific Ocean from Monterey Bay, California to Hawaii. At PACE, we’re all about supporting bold journeys that align with our values of protecting our oceans. When we heard about Charlotte Harris and Jessica Oliver’s plan to take on this record-setting nautical challenge in 2024, we knew we had to get behind them. Their previous world record for rowing across the Atlantic got us fired up about the possibilities. We can’t wait to follow their inspiring voyage and do our part to help them make waves for ocean conservation. Stay tuned for more on how we’re prepping for this event!

An Inspiring Endeavor

We were immediately drawn to their mission to raise awareness of plastic pollution in our oceans and waterways.

Throughout their voyage, Charlotte and Jessica will conduct research on microplastics and larger debris they encounter, sharing their findings with scientists and environmental organizations. They aim to educate people on simple solutions, like using reusable bags and bottles, that can make a big difference.

Why We’re Proud to Sponsor Wild Waves’ Epic Journey

As a Clean Energy recruitment company, we at PACE believe in supporting efforts that promote sustainability and environmental conservation. That’s why we’re thrilled to sponsor Charlotte Harris and Jessica Oliver in their goal to row across the Pacific Ocean.

Their 3,000-mile journey from California to Hawaii is a feat of human strength and perseverance that will demonstrate what individuals can achieve when they come together around a shared purpose.

While the Pacific Row will be an incredible achievement, it is a means to an end. The overarching goal of Wild Waves is to raise awareness around the massive problem of plastic pollution in our oceans and inspire people to act. We hope their journey will motivate individuals and communities to reexamine their plastic use and make changes that will collectively have a huge impact. Every one of us has a role to play in addressing this urgent issue, and Wild Waves is showing us what is possible when we come together fuelled by passion and purpose.

The amazing team Wild Waves is committed to generating funds for charity through each of their ocean adventures. After raising over £100,000 for Shelter during their record-shattering Atlantic Challenge in 2022, these inspiring friends are looking to obliterate that fundraising total during the epic Pacific Row in June.
