The Journey of Change with Tanya Ruiter
In the ever-changing world of IT and management, one person shines as an example of adaptability and innovation. Meet Tanya Ruiter, a business change manager whose story blends technology with human understanding.
Tanya's journey into IT was influenced by her father, who worked in the field for years. His rise from a programmer to a top executive sparked Tanya's interest in technology. However, it was her curiosity about people that led her to focus on change management.
"I enjoy helping people understand and adapt to change. It's about making complex things simple and predictable."
Going Freelance: A Bold Move
After 18 years in the corporate world, Tanya took the leap into freelancing in December 2022. It wasn't an easy decision, but she craved the freedom to work on her terms.
"I have always felt like an entrepreneur; I find and create my own work, apply my own approach and raise the bar. I choose my path and approach and the success is therefore my merit."
Freelancing comes with its challenges, like tight deadlines and lots of responsibility. But for Tanya, the freedom to balance work and life and see the direct results of her efforts make it all worth it.
“It’s easy to say that I should have done this way sooner. But for me the timing now is perfect. The market circumstances are good. My personal life is as stable as a mountain. And I can harvest on my many years of experience and education.”
Disability Insurance: A Safety Net
For Tanya, disability insurance isn't just about being practical—it's about feeling secure. Knowing she's covered in case of emergencies lets her focus on her work without worrying.

“I was always taught to be self-reliant when it comes to finances and it will never feel good for me to depend on anyone for that.”
“Insurance makes me feel comfortable in knowing that there is a fallback if needed. And furthermore, I do not feel much of it, which is exactly how insurance should make you feel; carefree!”
Did you say Insify?
Discovering Insify was a relief for Tanya. She was surprised by how complicated it was to find the right insurance. She had tried other companies, but they made the process long and difficult. Even worse, when she finally got offers, they didn't fit what she needed.
“The offer process took weeks and once received, the offer was very disappointing. it did not feel good to just go for it, it just didn’t suit my situation and needs at all. When looking further I found Insify!”
Looking Ahead
As Tanya reflects on her journey, she feels grateful for where she is. She's excited to see what opportunities lie ahead and looks forward to enjoying some downtime with her loved ones.
"I'm curious about what's next. But for now, I'm happy to take things one step at a time."
