JSM's Community Grant donation leaves club jumping for joy!
In June 2023, JSM Group Services Ltd. launched the Community Grant initiative, which is a series of charitable initiatives that employees can apply for to support their local communities.
Paul Griffiths, Pre-Construction Supervisor at JSM, successfully applied for a £500 donation to HBS Revolution club which his son, Freddie, attends for both trampolining and gymnastics training.
Paul says;
It's a great club, when I watch Freddie and the other children, what you see is children that are safe and enjoying themselves. Freddie has come such a long way and as a parent it's amazing to see. I'm grateful to be part of a company that supports me both at work and in my personal life.
HBS Revolutions club is a British Gymnastics affiliated club, established in 2016. It is a family orientated club offering a range of Gymnastics, DMT (Double Mini Trampoline) and Trampoline sessions to the local community in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. In total, they have over 500 members and offer classes across five days each week with a huge age range, from toddler Gymnastics right through to adult Trampolining. The club cater for both children and adults with additional needs, offering both recreational Trampolining sessions as well as competitive classes. HBS Revolutions also have a large Trampoline and DMT (Double Mini Trampoline) Squad competing at Regional and National Level. As a club they also support the local schools, offering Trampoline recreational classes along with the opportunity to compete at the National Schools Trampoline annual events. The Eastern Regional Schools event is organised by the Club and they host the first event of the year every year at HBS Sports Centre.

As a growing club, my focus is to ensure we offer a range of classes for our local community, for children to get the opportunity to try a range of British Gymnastics disciplines in a safe and fun environment.
I am also committed to ensure we provide a platform for our older gymnasts to become Young Leaders and start their coaching journey with us. For our seniors to be able to complete coaching qualifications in a sport they love is so rewarding. Our coaches not only teach gymnastics and trampoline, but provide children with key life skills and fun memories.
We are always looking for opportunities to further expand our offering and welcome donations to help make this possible. The JSM Group have kindly donated an amazing £500 which will help us purchase new equipment for the club.
This local club, like many others, rely on donations to keep going and run many in-house fundraising events across the year, from Club Competitions, to their annual 24 hour bounce at Christmas.
Year-to-date, JSM have supported over 100 individuals through the Community Grants initiatives and look forward to continuing to do so as the initiative grows.
