Industry Highlights 🔍

In June and July 2024, the translation industry saw significant developments driven by AI and technological advancements. At Slator Con Remote in June, industry leaders discussed the refinement of AI-driven translation tools and their impact on job roles and skills within the localisation sector. Emphasis was placed on the importance of balancing technological innovation with human expertise, particularly in maintaining cultural and contextual accuracy in translations.

Additionally, new ISO standards for translation quality evaluation were introduced, providing a framework for more objective assessment of translation outputs. This is crucial for meeting client specifications and maintaining high standards in the industry.

These discussions and developments underscore a period of transition in the translation industry, where the integration of advanced AI tools is being carefully balanced with the preservation of human expertise and quality standards.
