From the Dean
Dear Members and Friends of the Embry-Riddle Worldwide | College of Arts & Sciences Community,
I hope you are going to have a great summer as I am excited to share the latest update from your Embry-Riddle Worldwide | College of Arts & Sciences!
We continue the hiring season and are looking forward to a tenure track assistant professor in criminology, criminal justice, homeland security or security studies joining us in a 100% remote role as we consolidate our security and safety College signature areas of education and research - within the university's Security, Intelligence and Safety Fields of Study focus.
We are excited to be launching our first MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on "Combatting Human Trafficking: Understanding, Prevention, and Action" in July, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center for Countering Human Trafficking (CCHT).
Our next occurrence of the Dean's Speaker Series "Resilience Imagined" will be about NASA perspectives on "The Role of Earth Observations in Disaster Response."
Recent program rankings are in, and our online B.S. in Homeland Security (also the first accredited bachelor's homeland security program) and online B.S. in Emergency Services have recently been ranked no. 1 and no. 3, respectively, in the nation!
I launched a College-level exemplary student and alumni award program and we have our first awardees!
