KatRisk releases SpatialKat 5.0

We are happy to announce the availability of our version 5.0 of SpatialKat today. Please contact us for the full release notes. Here are some highlights:

• US hail (1km resolution, 50k years event set, correlated to KatRisk SST)
• Australia and New Zealand inland flood (correlated events with TC wind)
• Australia storm surge (driven by AUS TC wind events - our global TC wind models have been available for more than 2 years)
2) New Software Functionality
• US inland flood/storm surge/tropical cyclone rapid location analyses (down to 1 to 3 sec)
• SQL data storage
• Custom vulnerability
• Custom aggregation fields
• Climate state analysis options (global teleconnections)
• Data-driven event response
• Wind and surge data lookups during import
• Analysis post-processing: combine analyses and marginal impact calculations (KatRisk analysis offers coherent risk measures that are fully additive by event sample ID)
