Kwalee’s Mission: Making The Most Fun Games For The World’s Players

Every day we remind ourselves why we’re in the business of games - to bring fun into a world that needs to play more. Are you curious about how our journey began and what we are up to now? In this article we’ll give you a quick recap on all things Kwalee - including games, publishing, careers and more.

Visit kwalee.com if you’d like to learn even more.

What is Kwalee’s origin story?

Founded in 2011 by David Darling CBE, we’re all about bringing the fun to gaming. David, a total legend in the UK games industry, co-founded Codemasters back in the day and now he's leading the charge at Kwalee.

We started in the town of Leamington Spa, one of the UK’s biggest game development hubs outside London. We’ve expanded with teams in Bengaluru, Beijing, Almada and remote teams across the globe. Our team is filled with some seriously talented folks, including Andrew Graham, the genius behind Micro Machines, and Jason Falcus, the programming wizard turned COO who worked on classics like NBA Jam.

What games have we developed and published?

Over the last 10+ years we’ve delighted players with hit mobile games like Draw it, which has over 100 million downloads, Rocket Sky, Bake it, Airport Security and Teacher Simulator. Together, our mobile games have been downloaded over 1 billion times.

We’re also publishing an exciting range of PC Console games. Here’s the lineup:

🚨The Precinct - clean up the city in this neon-noir action sandbox police game

🍃Wildmender - cultivate a blooming garden in this desert-gardening survival game

👹 The Spirit of the Samurai - fight undead warriors and Japanese monsters in this 2D stop motion action adventure

🎶 Robobeat - dance till you die with this roguelite rhythm shooter

🗡️ Die By The Blade - one hit kill fighting action with stunning Japanese Cyberpunk aesthetics

👩 🍳Space Chef - explore the galaxy one taste bud at a time

🔥Scathe - a bullet hell FPS game we published last year
