Layoffs = Passion Project
Have you ever said to yourself if I had enough time I would do this. There isn’t enough time in a day. My schedule is fully booked. I wish I had time to focus on myself.
If you ever thought these things a layoff from a job can give you the time you need to allocate to a passion project. Losing a job can be an emotional and hard thing to deal with. Not working comes with extra financial burdens and concerns. After it all settles in you might notice that you now have hours of availability you can reallocate to other things.
When I am not working I approach a layoff similar to a product or project manager. I create a project plan with tasks and time allocated for each project.
