Learn About the Online Marketing Sequence Facebook Business Owners are Using

Facebook and other social networking sites were designed for you to connect and share with friends and family or even businesses and organizations that interest you. Platforms such as Facebook allow these connections for free, but you may ask yourself why? The simple answer is that they want your data. According to Maddy Osman's article, Wild and Interesting Facebook Statistics and Facts (2022), Facebook generates over 1 million gigabytes of data daily.

This data is used to analyze user behavior, allowing marketers to promote their page's products or services more efficiently to connect to their audiences.

Dennis Yu, the Chief Technology Officer of BlitzMetrics, explains that the core sequence of online marketing is mastering these three things: goals, content, and targeting. Using strategies such as research, people-based targeting, optimizing conversion prices, and implementing cross-device tracking will boost your online sales.

Look for more conversions, for the cheapest price.

Goals

As a business, setting and re-evaluating goals are essential. These goals will set a target for companies to strive towards and motivates them to continue along the way. First, you want to break goals into three categories:

  • Audience
  • Engagement
  • Conversion

The audience is overall growing awareness whether that means getting more followers or incepting the media, it should attract the audience that you are reaching out to. Engagement specifically focuses on getting the audience you attracted to act. This can be seen in many ways, whether the viewer clicks like, reacts to the message, or even fills out a form. Conversion is paying your customers and can be measured using a conversion rate. These conversions include getting customers to upgrade, check-in, or even collect a lead.

Setting goals in each category will allow a business to break down and track progress throughout meeting these goals.

Content

This sequence in online marketing is closely associated with the goals set. First, you must look into integrating marketing using content management systems (CMS). These systems will allow businesses to change content on a page or website without specialized knowledge.

Building content around your goals will lead to success. For example, if your goal from the audience section is to gain more followers, then you need to build your content to promote the page to be shared or even suggest following or joining a page as many posts use as a call to action.

Business owners use Facebook as a utility, as a data platform.

Targeting

In this sequence, essential tools such as people-based marketing, a tool Facebook offers to business pages, will allow businesses to target their audience. It is redundant to target audiences as a whole, as you may have a small number of people who fit under your target market. Once you have found through your conversions who it is that is purchasing your product or service, the next step is to target these types of customers.

Using this tool optimizes your search to find your look-alike audience. When targeting, you essentially are looking to duplicate your best customers, which can be people who are consistently returning to your pages, rebuying products, or returning for more services. Doing so allows a business to generate more profits, better word of mouth, and better overall retention.

Hello Austin! Had a great time reading and learning about your article. This topic really stuck out to me because I didn't know that business owners use Facebook for marketing. Really shocked me at the beginning how you stated that people use Facebook all over the world and Facebook collects data throughout every user on Facebook. They collect data from their users so they can help marketers. What this means is that they use users data and give what the users like to look at. This is very huge for marketing on Facebook because if your company is promoting something it will find the users that want what you're selling. I like how you put goals into three categories to keep things to the point, audience, engagement, and conversions. These three things are the most important for an online business, keeping those thoughts while building up your business will help you succeed. Targeting people on Facebook is something that will help you in conversion, Facebook offers a tool to help you do that which is very beneficial. Something that you had added that stuck out to me is the returning and loyal customers, that's something you must try to get in the long run of building up your company. Overall I loved reading your article!!!
