Svenja Hahn elected ALDE Party President
On 6 October, Svenja Hahn MEP was elected as the new ALDE Party President for a two-year mandate at the ALDE Party Congress in Estoril, Portugal. In her first statement as ALDE Party President, Hahn expressed her commitment to deepening cooperation among European liberals. "We liberals must bundle and reform our forces in Europe and find common answers to the challenges of our time,” she said.
Liberal leaders host ALDE Party Congress opening
ALDE Party co-Presidents Senator Timmy Dooley and Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP hosted the official opening ceremony of the 2024 ALDE Party Congress in Estoril, Portugal. Over 500 liberal leaders, members and delegates from across Europe gathered for the meeting in Estoril, Portugal, set in the context of a new European mandate starting after the European elections in June.
