Little Fish?

Little Fish?

Do you feel like a little fish in a big pond?

You might be feeling this way because:

  • It's true
  • You're new
  • Others seem to be doing it better and faster
  • You don't think you could be anything else

It can be frustrating feeling like you're just kinda doggy paddling and trying to stay afloat while "it seems" like others around you are speed racing, doing somersaults, and generally making their experience look effortless.

But the truth is, those bigger fish are probably trying to get to the bigger ponds and chances are they are having the same struggles, thoughts, and feelings...because there is a bigger pond!

So, if you feel like a little fish there are things you can do to grow:

  • Accept that it just might be true and start learning, make learning a constant for you
  • Accept that even if you're new; you add value,  and start learning, make learning a constant for you
  • Accept that other people who may be doing it better, start right where you are,  and start learning, make learning a constant for you
  • Accept that your mindset is the first thing that needs to shift in order for you to grow,  and start learning, make learning a constant for you

See a theme here?

As a fellow little fish who is currently in a MASSIVE pond, I don't think there is anything wrong with it, because it always gives us something to reach for, get stronger for, and build our knowledge for.  It also gives us a chance to learn from all the bigger fish around us, the ones who can teach, guide, and protect us.

This is your time to build, grow, and get stronger!!

So, my little fish friends, if this is you, in the great words of Dory, "just keep swimming" and you will eventually get there!

Sorry, I couldn't resist!!
