Local SEO – Improve Visibility in Local Search Results
Does your company website come up when you search locally? When you search for your services does your business show up in the map positions in Google?
Following these rules will help your company business improve and get found.
Address – Make sure your full address and contact details are on your website for the city or town you are targeting.
Google Business – Make sure you have created a business listing on Google, it used to be called Google Places. Make sure the details match your website. Complete fully including the local telephone number, full address, opening hours, and include at least 6 photos. Make regular posts on your Google business listing, within these you can add a link to your homepage and other specific pages.
Google Business Description – This is really important you can have 750 characters in this section, make use of them, mention your geographical area and your main target keywords and key phrases for your company early on in the description.
Reviews – Ask customers to leave reviews, especially mentioning the service you supplied, when you do receive them, make sure you respond to them.
3rd Party Sites – get your company listed on 3rd party sites like Yell, Scoot and Facebook, make sure everything matches exactly what you have on your website, same full address, contact numbers and company name.
Devices - Make sure the page looks good on each device, desktop, tablet and mobile devices. If you have any issues, speak with your Website Designer to make any needed alterations.
