Maintaining the AI Atmosphere

Has the time come to get our business ready for AI?

Jul 2017

As far as artificial intelligence is concerned, the vast majority is hidden; its inner workings and complexities are not readily visible on the surface. In this article, I will acquaint you with today’s headlines on artificial intelligence. As you read through these, those of you who have been involved in technology for even a few years will recognize that the same concerns and exactly the same questions have accompanied the headlines before every major revolution associated with the digital world.

Here are some of the headlines I dug from the digital magazines:

  • “For eBay, AI is ride or die”
  • “Is government ready for AI?”
  • “Google DeepMind teams with Open AI to prevent a robot uprising”
  • “Can AI Improve Sales Productivity in Pharma?”
  • “What’s the global value of AI? $15.7 trillion by 2030, PwC says.”
  • “Ask the AI experts: Should we be afraid of AI?”
  • “Future Cast: BBC takes a ‘sneak peek’ into Microsoft’s AI programs to see what tomorrow may bring”
  • “The Human Army Using Phones to Teach AI to Drive”
  • “Banks Deploy AI to Cut Off Terrorists’ Funding”
  • “NVIDIA and Baidu Join Forces in Far-Reaching AI Partnership”
  • “The dangers of letting Big Tech control AI”
  • “Man and Machine – Working with AI to Simplify Business Procedures”
  • “5 ways AI is changing the hiring sector”

As you can see, the atmosphere carries a sense of doubt, fear, and hesitancy – but lots of curiosity. A big wave is going to come soon, and it will change our lives completely and irrevocably.

Today, in 2017, almost every standard family car has built-in control systems for gas, brakes and wheels. Standard cars know how to maintain a safe distance, brake in an emergency, and navigate lanes automatically. And we are fully entrusting our lives and our children with these systems.

So…how can we prepare?

CEO’S need to start right now:

As far as I can see, CEO’s need to ask themselves if they have an AI strategy for their organizations.

Deep learning depends on human training: in the near future, man and machine will work together to simplify procedures, reducing spending and increasing profit.

The situation of not knowing where are we going on one side and letting AI rumors control the atmosphere on the other side can probably harm the employee and team spirit.

I think if CEO’s want to navigate through this period of time as smoothly as possible, it would be a smart move for them to start building an AI strategy for their organization. They should begin talking with their managers and offering guidance on how to deliver those intimidating AI decisions to all employees.

Employers need to start right now:

Employers need to learn how to harness the capabilities of AI to remove unnecessary work from themselves and their employees and to concentrate on the advantages of human ability, which is – even with all of AI’s capabilities – an advantage over artificial intelligence.

If AI can fix drivers’ mistakes, such as not maintaining enough distance or braking for an object in the road that the driver didn’t see, then why can’t a robot fix our mistakes at our work and harness the AI to optimize our results?

CEO’s and employees should not be afraid of the changes to come; they just need to get ready.

Full Disclosure…

I’m working as a VP of Business at Moonshot Marketing Ltd., a company that developed the Deep Learning Algorithm (AI) for Ad platform to help companies reduce spending and increase profits via optimizations which are made by this robot.

PPC experts now need to decide if they're going to accept the idea of harnessing the

AI / Deep Learning / Machine Learning – whatever you name it – as an extension of their abilities.

And why should they...?

Because no human being, and no matter how good of a PPC expert you are, you can’t read and research 30,000 records or 2.5 million parameters in one minute to reach decisions for the same work day, because of even one day after, those decisions are not relevant anymore: you'll need new decisions.

So....what do you think?

Is it time to get our business ready for AI?

I would greatly appreciate it if you would leave your comments or….

ask me about how to harness the AI to your business.

Thanks for reading!
