Maintaining & Monitoring Reliable Telecoms Connections
Mobile telecoms are a vital part of the world’s growing economy and are increasing in importance year on year. The market is extremely competitive and leading companies within the industry set themselves tough standards, striving to offer uninterrupted network services.
Supporting equipment must be highly reliable. Telecoms towers are often found in remote areas where mains power is regularly unavailable. Remote control and monitoring are therefore features often required by telecoms companies to provide live information on generator vitals.
DSE are industry leaders in auto start control modules. All products are manufactured and tested in the UK at DSE HQ.
The DSE7310 MKII and its dual mutual standby feature provides back up power between generators meaning when one generator fails the secondary generator will automatically start and take the load, limiting expensive downtime. This provides service engineers with time to investigate the generators power failure and schedule routine maintenance. The DSE7310 MKII also provides telecoms applications with the option to balance engine hours between two generators, preventing excessive wear and tear on a single generator.
The DSE7310 MKII withstands a variety of extreme environmental conditions, including the high temperatures of equatorial countries, low temperatures of mountainous or ice-covered regions, the humidity of the tropics, electro-magnetic interference from increasing numbers of external devices, vibration from related or unrelated machinery and shock caused by tough end-user environments.
Base stations are often located in remote areas making an unplanned visit costly. The DSE890 MKII enables the DSE7310 MKII to be controlled and monitored remotely via DSEWebNet® software, informing users of warnings which may need to be addressed prior to a scheduled visit. This reduces the chance of a power interruption.
