Make a difference during National Adoption Month ❤️
Right now, more than 113,000 children in the U.S. foster care system are waiting for a safe, permanent home.
Here are 5 ways you can make a difference during National Adoption Month in November and year round:
1: Consider fostering or adoption
Every year, nearly 20,000 youth age out of foster care without the stability and guidance of a permanent family. Download our free step-by-step guide to adoption to learn more and get started on your adoption journey.
2: Organize a "Thank A Recruiter" Card-Writing Activity
Through our Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, the Foundation supports the hiring of adoption professionals, known as recruiters, who are dedicated to finding forever homes for the longest-waiting children in foster care.Invite colleagues, friends and family to write physical and digital thank you notes to these professionals for the life-changing impact they make every day. A hand written note goes a long way.

3: Pack Care Kits for Children Lingering in Foster Care
Children in foster care frequently move from home to home with nothing but a small bag in which to carry their belongings. As a result, they often lack the necessary hygiene items to care for themselves.Show your support for these young people by packing Care Kits, including necessities like deodorant, shampoo and toothpaste.
4: Spread the Word
Raise awareness about the urgent need for foster care adoption by following the Foundation on X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Threads, and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
5: Make A Donation
The Foundation has a goal to raise $40,000 by National Adoption Day on November 18 to find forever families for the longest-waiting youth in foster care. Consider making a gift now to help us reach our goal.
The Foundation is thankful for our special community of supporters, like you, who are helping to give more children lingering in foster care a loving, forever family and the foundation for a bright future. Thank you!
