Make your Mission Memorable

Last week, we spoke about what it truly means to be a certified B Corporation and why it’s important to us.

Today, we want to take a deeper dive into the suggestions we shared at the end of that post. 

Let’s take them one by one.

Commit to your mission, every day in every way.

Here at KSV, we have our mission and vision nailed to the walls. We talk about it about every day. If a new opportunity comes up, we’re discussing how it relates back to our mission. If you just write it and forget about it, what’s the point?

Make your mission clear to your customers.

The first step in making your mission clear to your customers is making it clear to your employees. We define who we are to our employees so they are better equipped to relay that to our clients.

Show your customers the way your mission supports their goals.

It shouldn’t be your mission if it doesn’t support the goals of the people you’re doing business with. Make sure it’s a part of what you’re communicating.

Set an example that lets them believe that they can take a step toward a better future—just like you’re doing.

Give them a reason to actually believe you’re walking the talk. You’re doing what you said you would. They can trust you.

Your mission is who you are. Your customers should be able to think of it whenever they hear your name.
